PassBox has been designed as a simple password manager, which reminds of the modern apps in Windows 8. The main application window has the options lined in the upper part and these include creating the small database, viewing the entries, a password generator, and access to the configuration panel for control setup. There is also the possibility to lock the program so that nobody else has access to your private information. Choosing this option or simply exiting the application has the same effect, the only difference is that, in the case of the latter action, you have to restart PassBox.
Populating the database with entries is an easy task but some users may find a bit uncomfortable with this software the fact that all the fields are mandatory for the entry to be saved. Many could do just fine without providing a security question and an answer.
Apart from these two, you have to enter a name for the account, a web address, which can be launched straight from the application, login ID, and the password. If you can’t decide on a countersign, PassBox includes a very simple generator that can help you out. It can create passwords up to 100 characters in length and combination of numbers, upper and lowercase letters, as well as special characters.
