Internet Explorer 10 , Microsoft’s in-house browser that’s currently available on Windows 8 platforms only, is the best choice for this particular operating system, the Redmond-based technology company said.

  however, it’s the best browser on the market, Microsoft claims.

“The entirely new Internet Explorer 10 is a huge part of the reimagined Windows experience. IE10 is the Windows 8 browser. Built specifically to make the web a first class citizen on your new Windows 8 device right alongside apps,” the company explained.

“It is exceptionally fast and fluid when it comes to performance. Most importantly, IE10 is arguably the first browser that is perfect for touch.”

With a wide range of improvements, Internet Explorer 10 is also focused a lot more on users’ privacy, so it comes with the wildly criticized “Do Not Track” option enabled by default.
This particular tool blocks websites from collecting users’ data for advertising purposes, so advertisers from all over the world aren’t quite pleased with Microsoft’s new strategy.

Yahoo for example has already criticized the factory-enabled DNT and announced in a blog post that it won’t recognize this feature, so all its websites are going to ignore it.

“In our view, this degrades the experience for the majority of users and makes it hard to deliver on our value proposition to them. It basically means that the DNT signal from IE10 doesn’t express user intent,” Yahoo said earlier today.
